HD Audio Support for desktop browsers

The Clipstream Player will support high definition audio quality on most desktop browsers (bitrate of between 256kbps to 320kbps) depending on the uploaded video source.

How to enable HD Audio in your videos

HD Audio playback is automatically enabled in your videos providing your uploaded video source audio stream is:

  • 48KHz sampling rate.

When the viewer plays a video clip with HD Audio enabled, they will see the "HD" symbol over the speaker icon. Most desktop browsers will support HD Audio if available in the video source.

Currently unsupported: Edge, IE11

What if the source or platform does not support HD Audio?

When played back on a non-supported browser or device, a standard quality audio stream (up to 128kbps) will be played.
